Meet the
Founder
Kosta Ligris is a lawyer, technologist, and entrepreneur working at the intersection of innovation, regulation, and security. With a career spanning law, real estate, fintech, and cybersecurity, Kosta is known for building, advising and investing in high-performance ventures and guiding organizations through complexity with clarity and trust.
He is the founder of a venture-backed fintech platform modernizing secure digital transactions in regulated industries, as well as the Ligris Companies, which facilitated over $150 billion in real estate transactions while setting a new standard for compliance and legal services infrastructure. As a multi-time founder, advisor, educator, and investor, Kosta brings deep expertise in digital infrastructure, regulatory risk, and operational leadership.
Kosta serves as a Senior Lecturer at MIT Sloan and was one of the longest-serving Entrepreneur in Residence at MIT’s Martin Trust Center for Entrepreneurship. He mentors startups, executives, and corporate innovators across industries and is a frequent speaker on privacy, venture, digital transformation, and leadership in complex systems.
He holds degrees from Boston University (B.S.), Suffolk University Law School (J.D., honors), and the MIT Sloan School of Management (MBA), and is completing a Master’s in Information Systems & Cybersecurity at UC Berkeley.
